About Rylie Terrion
Counseling Intern
Life is challenging, pushing us to our limits and out of our comfort zones, but you don’t have to face the change alone. As Brené Brown said, “when we numb the painful emotions, we also numb the positive emotions.” Rather than trying to struggle with and overpower those feelings, we can work together to embrace and accept them in order to move forward. I aim to collaborate, empower, and teach you to work with any negative or painful emotional triggers. From our work together, I hope you find lightness and joy in your life again.

My style of therapy is heavily inspired by mindfulness based and trauma informed processing. I am a trained meditation teacher who uses somatic and mind-body tools to help manage stressors. My passion is working with individuals with a history of trauma, health concerns, neurodivergence, life transitions and identity work including LGBTQ+, non monogamous relationships, or individuals going through quarter-life. I use a person centered lens with techniques from Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), narrative therapy, and feminist theory. This whole-person approach allows me to get to know and understand your individual identities, and help you cope with any stressors and setbacks.
I’m a current Masters student in DePaul University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program and an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach in training. I am dedicated to cultivating my own positive mindset and helping others do the same. In my freetime I enjoy reading, stretching, longboarding, journaling, going to the lake, and taking care of my garden!
